Carb Strip

 I think these bikes are supposed to have black painted carbs but there is so much paint coming off these that I think they were painted again at some stage - and badly.
 I am going to strip the paint off them and run them naked for the time being.  I want to see how this engine sounds before I spend too much time and money on this bike.

 Black slides.

 Sludge in bowls.

 Grolly on jets.

 Butterflies, like the slides, are black.

 All idle mixture screws are free.

 All pilot jets are free.

 Colour of the petrol from the bowls.

 Paint peeling badly.

 Blocked emulsifiers.

 Another interesting bowl.  Tar sands?

 And another blocked main jet.

 This bike has stood a long time.

 A needle valve that was not going to work.
