So assemble all the carbs again and try to start her up.
Oh dear one of the stainless braided oil pipes to the non-standard oil cooler gives up. I guess it had been rubbing on the exhaust header for some time and was worn through. I had moved it off the header as I had seen a drip come out and in the process damaged it completely.
Now I have to wait to get a new pipe before I know if the carbs are any good.
