Put the bike on it's side and took off the sump filter basket. It was rattling like a tin can full of pebbles. And this is what came out:
Looks like a part of the piano wire retaining clip (clutch) and a spring from I do not know where.
These ally parts have been rattling around for a while. They are nicely rounded off like stones in a polishing drum.
